Trisha Randhawa

Many thanks to Melissa and Andrew for their legal help in my recent property purchase, including helping me obtain a stamp duty exemption when I didn't have all the documents listed on the Department's website. I would happily recommend their reasonably priced conveying service :-)

Frequently
Asked Questions

Do you work with brokers or buyer's agents?

Yes. We often receive referrals from mortgage brokers, buyer's agents and financial advisers. We’re happy to liaise directly with your professional team to streamline the process and keep everyone aligned.

What if there’s a problem after settlement?

We can help resolve post-settlement issues such as building defects, incomplete works or misleading statements. As lawyers, we’re qualified to act in contract disputes and represent you at NCAT or in court if needed.

I’m buying off the plan. Can you help?

Yes. Off-the-plan purchases can involve longer contracts, special conditions and delayed settlement periods. We’ll review your contract carefully, explain your rights and help you avoid risks such as sunset clauses, plan variations or financing traps.

How much does conveyancing cost?

Our fees are competitive and transparent. We provide a clear quote before we start and make sure you understand exactly what’s included. Costs will vary depending on the complexity of your transaction, but we always ensure our fees are proportionate and fair.

Do I need a lawyer or a conveyancer?

Conveyancers are licensed to handle standard transactions but can’t give legal advice if something goes wrong. If there’s a dispute, unusual contract clause or legal complexity, they have to refer the matter to a lawyer, which can cost you time and money. By working with a property lawyer from the start, you get full legal protection and proactive advice if issues arise.
